Nokia has released the 1.1 update for Symbian ^ 3, the newest Symbian operating system. It has been the first upgrade for the operating system called Symbian just for a while. New Nokia devices using Symbian were N8, C7 and C6-01.

In the statement made by Nokia, it was stated that most features of the package will not be noticed by the end user, but it will increase the user experience. Apart from the improvements and updates, the following new features have been announced:

• Accepting interview requests directly via e-mail

• Maps integration in emails. If the address section is filled in the sent invitation, the meeting place will be visible on the map in the incoming emails.

• For Nokia N8 users:
– In the new Quick Office 6.4 editing version, you will be able to edit Word documents by zooming in and out.
– 3 new games will be available for download on new devices. These are Need For Speed Shift- Real Golf and Galaxy on Fire. (It has been added that it may be Asphalt 5 instead of Heed For Speed in some regions.) These applications are available for free use in Ovi suite and Ovi Store for existing N8 users.

You can install via the Program Update option on your device or via Ovi Suite. But Nokia has warned, especially for the N8, that the update packages may be large, and that updating without connecting to a free wireless network can put you on your bill.

In this update, the package did not offer any improvements to the expected vertical mode keyboard support and browser, but Nokia has already given the good news that new updates are on the way.
