You are about to start your entrepreneur journey. You have spent a lot of time in investigating, doing research and learned in and out of how to start and where to start.
You have a long way to go, many hurdles to face and many problems to solve. When the journey gets tougher you actually want to take a break and want to know if you are in the right path. This post is helpful for a new entrepreneur to check his journey constantly whether he/she is in the right path to their destiny. There is a famous saying by William Jennings Bryan which is as follows.
Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.
So your entrepreneur journey is not a matter of chance but it is a matter of perfect choice’s which you have to make and some times when the ship doesn’t come in time you actually need to swim ahead to meet. So it is not a thing to be waited for but it is a thing to be achieved. I believe every entrepreneur should have the following four people always at hand to judge his/her choices and decisions.
4 People you need in your Entrepreneurship journey
There is a lot of difference between a regular teacher and a mentor, in terms of meaning both look the same but in terms of function they are two separate people. Now I am not defining according to Wikipedia or webmaster dictionary but in simple terms as per my own understanding.
A Teacher directs the path of success but actually doesn’t travel in the path to show, whereas a Mentor not only directs the path but walks and shows how to walk in the path of success. As a new entrepreneur you need to have a wise and efficient mentor who could exactly analyze how and where you need to start and stress.
Mentor is an invisible power for every successful entrepreneur. Most of the successful entrepreneurs don’t reveal their mentors but they do actually have one who constantly monitors their activities. So jump and find someone who has actually done this (already a successful entrepreneur) before, for they might help you in quickly determining the way you need to travel.
2. Friends and Relatives:
Friends are like fire they can ignite you to reach unattainable heights, at the same time they can set fire to you and throw you into a valley. As a saying goes
A friendship founded on business is a good deal better than a business founded on friendship. – John D. Rockefeller
In your course some of the major decisions can be taken based on the opinions of your friends but ultimate decisions are yours. You should carefully determine and ask for reasons why they thought that way. We always think one or two ways but if you share some of the reasons to your friends they can think the other side around but don’t forget you are not to reveal everything you know.
So it is advisable to have few good friends, you might well also not feel lonely when everything feels completely dry. Sometimes some of your close relatives can also be tried for opinions and suggestions listen to what they are about to say. You can pick many new ideas and thoughts from your friends and relatives which could have been hidden from most of the successful entrepreneurs.
At times, you might have to leave your regular friend group, and start hanging out with people who are passionate about the life, and want to do something new. Such people company will help you to motivate at every stage, and help you to reach your goal in no time.
Hey, you need to love them man, they are the ones who actually increase the rate of your success. Have an open ear but closed mouth to your criticizers. Don’t shout at them or give reverse answers when they show off your mistakes or pin point your loops.
But the first smile at them, go indoors close your doors jump and dance for they actually gave something which you got for free. You did not pay large amounts of money to a business adviser and ask him where did your business plan fail.
Note the points from your criticizers and correct them as soon as possible. You should also be strong and positive with these people. When you give half a glass of water to a person, there are two ways a he can think. He might say it contains only half a glass of water what about the remaining half, or else he may say thank God it still contains half a glass of water who cares of remaining half lets drink for now and be satisfied.
Be the second type, take everything in a positive manner and never let negative thoughts even touch or entertain your mind. Always be positive and read good inspirational or motivational books constantly. If not you might sometimes feel like quitting when some one laughs at you, but patiently endure and go ahead. Society itself is one of the top critic if you are successful it praises you but if you are stumbling they criticize you. Don’t let your criticizers overpower you but stay cool and let your journey go in peace. Always keep only one motive in mind i.e go let go.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. – Winston Churchill
4. Your are your best Entrepreneur guide :
Who could be more wise, intelligent and hard-working in determining your entrepreneur journey? Hey now don’t think too much it is you yourself. If the above mentioned people play 30% of determining your entrepreneur journey the remaining 70% is you who should constantly check your journey. After all it is your journey, you should walk all the way, the people mentioned above are not going to come with you to be in your place and think.
For example a person has won best director award for a movie, then the person who directed the movie only will reach the stage though all the cast and crew played an important role in making the movie a success. So you are more important than the roles played by all the other people in your entrepreneur journey.
Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.
Now that you understood who are the four people whom you require to start a successful entrepreneur journey focus on them and make you entrepreneur journey a happy and successful one. Here is a sweet message by Harsh for young entrepreneurs:
